What is Goldilocks Zone?
The Goldilocks zone, also known as the habitable zone, refers to the region around a star where conditions are just right for liquid water to exist on the surface of an orbiting planet. This zone is neither too close to the star, where temperatures would be too high, nor too far away, where temperatures would be too low. In the context of planetary habitability, the Goldilocks zone is considered the optimal range for life as we know it to potentially thrive.
